Inspect the Polish Sidewall Before Adding Another Coat

The side boundary of a manicure can reveal excess brush load or repeated overworking before another coat is added. It does not say whether a shade is flattering, and normal nail or skin texture should not be scraped into a sharper line. Inspect the applied product, not the person wearing it.
Read Center, Side and Cuticle Boundary Separately
Under steady light, look first at the center for coverage, then at each side for pooling or a dry gap. Check the cuticle boundary without pushing or cutting intact skin. If the lacquer is already setting, repeated brush passes can create drag, so stop rather than chasing a perfectly edited border. A suitable cleanup product should be used only according to its directions and with a tool that does not scrape skin.
Coyglow Gloss Nail Lacquer in Era and Coyglow Matte Nail Lacquer in Ballet Pink are linked as current color formats for separate observation. Neither is evidence of sidewall control, one-coat perfection, universal self-leveling or a specific wear result. Shade and finish records do not replace the applied check.
Decide Whether Another Coat Solves the Right Problem
A thin gap may call for a carefully directed next coat; a pooled edge may not improve with more product. Compare the whole nail at normal distance before changing it. The valid choices are add a directed coat, leave the result, clean only an actual product mark with a suitable method or restart later. The goal is controlled application without unnecessary contact with the surrounding skin, not a digitally perfect outline.
Questions About This Edit
Does a side gap always require another coat?
No. Judge coverage across the whole nail and whether another directed coat addresses the actual issue.
Should the skin edge be scraped for a sharper line?
No. Avoid sharp cleanup and unnecessary contact with intact surrounding skin.
